ISAs
ISAs have been around for over ten years and have proved to be popular investment arrangements that allow people to save either on a regular basis or through investing lumps – all with the benefit of knowing in advance that any income or profits will be paid to the investor completely tax free.
ISAs fall in to two categories:
- Cash ISAs are available through Banks, Building Societies or the Post Office and receive interest based on prevailing interest rates – but the interest paid is tax free.
- Stocks & Shares ISAs invest into any asset into which ISAs may invest (except Cash because this is what Cash ISAs are for). So, whatever your preference (e.g. Shares, Property, Government Gilts) there will be an ISA fund to suit you – but you can switch funds at any time.
ISAs are extremely flexible. Monies can be paid in, withdrawn and further monies paid in at any time – all without affecting the tax treatment ISA investors enjoy. So whether you want to save for School Fees, University Fees, holidays or just a rainy day, an ISA offers an unbeatable combination of flexibility and freedom from tax when you come to draw on your money.
