We’re going to take a break from mortgage advice articles for a moment, and shine a spotlight on us and our team of Guildford mortgage brokers instead.
The reason for this is that we’ve now hit over 400 5-star Google reviews, which, by any standards, is impressive – if we do say so ourselves.
Although we do admit to asking for third party input into what impressive actually means when it comes to Google reviews.
And, in 2025, who better to ask than ChatGPT. So, what did it say?
Well, it advised that a typical independent mortgage broker has between 10 to 50 Google reviews, with high-performing mortgage brokers coming in at 200+ reviews. We, however, stand in the top-performing category, which typically secure around 300 to 500 (or more) reviews.
We all know that nobody likes a show-off, so we’ll reign it in – but it matters to you, our clients (and future clients). Here’s why.
1. Trust is everything
From dentists to hairdressers, we all have our favourites. Not only because we know that they can do a good job, but because we trust them. Getting a mortgage is a key moment in one’s life as it represents the gateway to another chapter. As a result, it can be a stressful experience.

2. Numbers game
Now that we’re in a comfortable position when it comes to being a mortgage broker with lots of Google reviews, we can say that most mortgage brokers don’t have anywhere near the amount of customer feedback we have. Take a look for yourself.

We do have follow-up procedures in place, and we do work hard to establish whether or not the customer has had a good experience, just so we can continually improve if nothing else. We focus on the customer experience just as much as we do the mechanics of getting a mortgage, the evidence of which is clear in the content of the Google reviews themselves, and by the fact that we’ve accrued so many.
