Woking has won top place in 2021’s UK Vitality Index – a ‘health check’ on the UK’s towns and cities, which explores the best locations to live and do business in, and the areas that have the strongest growth prospects.
This year’s index, which prides itself on delivering a more ‘holistic’ approach to assessing the vitality of the UK’s towns and cities, is the eighth of its kind. It’s also produced annually by Lambert Smith Hampton, a leading commercial and residential real estate consultancy that knows a thing or two about prime locations.
The report revealed Woking to be the UK’s best performing location overall after it excelled in areas including wage growth, commercial property investment, economy and business, and health and the environment.
Why is this important to us? Well, considering that we’re predominately a Guildford and Woking mortgage broker – and a commercial property mortgage specialist, too – it’s important to us for two reasons.
Firstly, it’s our patch. Secondly, it means that after years of helping our clients – residential and commercial – successfully get a mortgage in Woking, we can confidently say that we have played a minor role in contributing to the overall growth that Woking continues to demonstrate.
As a Guildford based mortgage broker that neighbours Woking, I’m sure that this will set the cat amongst the pigeons and possibly touch Guildford’s competitive nerve.
